Combat axes can be found in highland cave, windscream valley, utal den, ashrun, and sunken vault. The harder areas have better chances to drop better enchantments.

Prismatic/Chromatic combat axes have stats that benefit a closerange fighter the most (especially if using crit damage with twist blade).

Razorback is a rare combat axe that you can find at BOTH ashrun and sunken vault. I have 4 in storage, and am using one as my primary weapon. Most I've gotten from Ashrun village, just because I go there more frequently than sunken ruins. For an idea of how common it is: I'm in the top 10 with regard to overall EXP, and sold about 3 of the lower-stat razorbacks I got early on.

Great find with the high damage combat axe, that was my primary for a long time :) Since you can't rely on attackspeed skills as much (bladestorm, wheelstorm, whirling blade) you need to focus on big one-hit attacks that you can stack (double strike, pursuit/twist blade, power slam, etc).

Critical damage is HUGE if you're using twist blade/pursuit. It's the guaranteed high-damage dealer if you don't have high crit rate.

Now i am even MORE powerful, since now my xp is at 4,300 and i'm very close to Power Slam and my first mount. I also have a studded robe with 16 defense! and another combat axe wich i found in a golden chest inside Borokul Troll Cave, and the stats are 15-87!

Bent loves his Razor, but i'm not fan of that. Razor' damage = 70, with his crit damage = 360 so it will be 250+ when crit, but thats if you get highest damage, base on your Dex.
combat axe is the highest damage now, i think. it can be accecp with 20+ damage but slowly a bit and lower crit damage, maybe 1/2 as Razor.
mine is 25 - 97, 5 crit chance and 50% crit damage. faster a bit cant make any different, i believe on damage. but if i can get 2 epic 1h sword, i can think again about dual weapon :))

Now i have 16-117 damage and 44 defense. It turned out great.

Aiming for the most top damage of all. I have 67-203 damage.
