4- The game is not competitive. I don't have to spend days leveling doing stupid quests, grinding and then weeks to acquire the average gear to actually play the game. And it's not an MMO, which means if I want to avoid people and play only by myself, I can do it. It's also not a single player RPG, which means I'm not going to be done with it in a couple weeks. 5- The minimalism. The game is really minimalistic, in most (MMO)RPGs, I grow bored and tired during the character creation screen with all the details.
A question: Why is the game named Ninelives? I looked up the site reading lore trying to find a reference but couldn't find anything. I hope it's not a reference to the game mechanic which erases my character if I die nine times.

Some suggestions:
1- Under the section "Roadmap", there is this:
Adding quests and event New quests will be added and limited time events will be held.
New quests sound like a great idea, but limited time events really don't. It's the reason I grow bored of most MMOs. There is this achievement, this title, this item you can only acquire in the week which happens to be my final week, the week I'm having internet problems etc. And then it starts to feel like my game experience is incomplete and keeping playing it doesn't have any purpose left. I know it doesn't make sense, but although I suggest you against it, if you really are going to do it, it would be great to add a chance to complete the limited time event or whatever in a later time. It would add alot to casual feeling of the game. 2- The game logo. Although it's minimalistic and good looking, I don't think it really suits the fantasy setting of the game. 3- A marker on the map to point the quest area. I know it's good to find clues in the quest text about the requirements' whereabouts but it gives you a little headache after a while.
Keep up the good work! |

I agree with almost everything that you have said. The only real exception being the suggestion of a quest marker. i think that the there might need to be more clues to each quest in places and conversations, other than from the quest originator, but the hunt has it's enjoyment.
Adding to the suggestions, I can only think of one big thing. Maybe it's because of what I have played in the past, but I think that the interactions would feel faster and more intuitive if there was an auto-move toward the target when interacting.... loot collection and conversation too, not just attacks.
All in all. I am looking around, and loving every bit of this world. |
