It's still fairly early in the game. I've not been to the continental Highlands. In one body of water there was a skeleton in a chair, where I've forgotten. It seems the key the skeleton was holding and the message in the bottle are connected. The message has some strange marks but I've inferred the location of the skeleton is relevant.
