I got beaten too the first time i tried but you just need to get a better weapon and upgrade skills and then is easily done

Often, when I fight with a bunch of enemies I use a strategy that I call "Horatii and the Curiatii"; i flee until only one or two of them still remain, then I kill him so I return to the group and pull away another one.
In this case, I killed the first of them, for turning back after the cure, for killing the next.
